1. Color by number

Ages 4 to 11

Each square of a 12 x 12 grid has a number or a calculation, and the answer gives the color in the key. A pixel picture appears when everything is colored.

Numbers only at ages 4-6, additions at 6-7, additions and subtractions up to 20 at 7-8, multiplication at 8-9, division at 9-10 and the four operations at 10-11.

2. Copy the picture

Ages 4 to 11

A shaded picture on a grid and an empty grid next to it: the child copies it square by square. The grid is 5 x 5 at ages 4-5 and grows to 12 x 12 at ages 10-11. From ages 8-9, the rows and columns have coordinates (A1, B2…).

3. Symmetry

Ages 6 to 11

Complete the picture on the other side of the dashed line, like a mirror. 8 x 8 grids at ages 6-7, 10 x 10 at 7-9 and 12 x 12 at 9-11. From ages 9-10, the second picture of the page has a horizontal line of symmetry.

4. Draw step by step

Ages 3 to 6

A LogikLand drawing built step by step in small boxes, then a big box to draw it. At ages 3-4 the child traces the dotted picture in the big box; at ages 5-6 the big box has a grid to help.

5. Draw the other half

Ages 4 to 9

Half of a symmetrical drawing on a grid: the child draws the other half. At ages 4-5 the missing half is dotted, to trace. The grid then helps up to ages 7-8, and at ages 8-9 the child draws the half freely, like in a mirror.

Mandalas worksheet for kids, from the LogikLand coloring and drawing workbook

6. Mandalas

Ages 3 to 11

Mandalas made by calculation, so each one is different: rings of repeated motifs around the centre. Young children get 3 rings with big areas and thick lines, older children up to 8 rings with 10, 12 or 16 repeats.

One worksheet, many levels: color by number from 4 to 11

The color by number page keeps the same idea and changes the math: numbers to read, then sums, then multiplication and the four operations.

A book with several levels has one section per level, in order. Mandalas, from the simplest to the most detailed, are available at every level from 3 to 11.

Simple mandalas for the youngest, detailed ones for older children

The mandalas of the workbook are drawn by the generator, not taken from a collection: every page has its own mandala. At ages 3-4 they have 3 rings, 6 or 8 repeats and thick lines, easy to color with big crayons. At ages 9-11 they have up to 8 rings and thin lines.

Answer key at the end of the book

Answer key: color by number
Answer key: color by number

The color by number, grid drawing, symmetry and half-drawing pages have their answer in the answer key at the end of the book: the finished picture. Drawing step by step and mandalas are free drawing and coloring, so they have no answer.
