How to Create a Sudoku Book for Amazon KDP
Follow the steps of the Sudoku wizard to generate a print-ready Sudoku puzzle book, adjust it in the visual editor and export it as a PDF or PPTX file.
Before you start
The Sudoku generator is available on every LogikLand plan, including the FREE plan. Commercial rights, which you need to sell your books on Amazon KDP, come with the PRO and EXPERT plans. Every grid is checked by the generator so that it has exactly one solution.
Create your Sudoku book step by step
- 1
Book settings
Choose the language of your book, enter its title, select the page size (8.5 x 11 inches or 6 x 9 inches) and decide whether to add a “How to Play” page.
- 2
Puzzles
Choose Single level for one difficulty, or Multi-level to mix several difficulties in the same book. Set the number of puzzles, then choose how levels are shown: in each puzzle title, with separator pages, or with numbers only.
- 3
Layout
Choose how many puzzles and how many solutions appear on each page (1, 2, 4, 6 or 9), then set the top, bottom, left and right margins. A page counter shows the estimated length of your book compared with the page limit of your plan.
- 4
Generate, edit and export
Click Generate Book. Your project opens in the visual editor, where you can change texts, fonts and positions, save your work, and download the book as a PDF or an editable PPTX file.
Choosing difficulty levels
The Sudoku wizard offers several difficulty levels, from easy to insane. The fewer numbers are given at the start, the harder the puzzle. Multi-level mode lets you put beginner and expert puzzles in the same book.
Layout tips for a Sudoku puzzle book
- Choose 1 or 2 puzzles per page for larger grids that are easier to read. Choose 4 or 6 for a more compact book with fewer pages.
- Put several solutions on each page (4, 6 or 9) to keep the solutions section short.
- Add a “How to Play” page if your book is aimed at beginners.
- For children or large print editions, use the dedicated Kids Sudoku and Large Print Sudoku wizards from your dashboard.
Margins and Amazon KDP requirements
Amazon KDP margin requirements depend on your trim size and your page count: the inside margin must be larger for thicker books. Check the official KDP margin guidelines, preview your file in the KDP previewer, and increase the margins in the Layout step if needed.
