Kids Sudoku Book Generator for Amazon KDP
LogikLand is a kids Sudoku book generator for Amazon KDP publishers. The Kids Sudoku wizard builds progressive books with 4x4 grids for ages 4-6, 6x6 grids for ages 6-8 and 9x9 grids for ages 8-10, with solution pages, and exports a print-ready PDF or an editable PPTX file. Every Sudoku grid is checked to have exactly one solution.
Each grid size is made for an age group, so the level follows the age. The sample uses the Easy level.
Choose your options, then click Generate puzzles. Your Sudoku grids appear here, ready to print or to download as a PDF.
Free sample for personal use. Commercial rights come with the PRO and EXPERT plans.
Which Sudoku grid for which age?
The grid size is what makes a kids Sudoku easy or hard. The Kids Sudoku wizard links each grid size to an age group, and the sample generator above offers the same three grids.
| Age group | Grid | What it feels like |
|---|---|---|
| 4-6 years | 4x4digits 1 to 4 | The smallest grid. A child only has to place four different digits in each row, column and box, so a first success comes quickly. |
| 6-8 years | 6x6digits 1 to 6 | A bigger grid with more digits to keep in mind. A good step for a child who is comfortable with the 4x4 grid. |
| 8-10 years | 9x9digits 1 to 9 | The classic Sudoku grid, the same one that adults solve, so the child can join the family puzzle time. |
Children of the same age enjoy very different levels, which is why a book that grows slowly from small to large grids is more useful than a book with a single size.
How to explain Sudoku to a child
The rules are short, and they are the same for every grid size. Fill the empty cells so that each row, each column and each outlined box contains every digit exactly once. In a 4x4 grid the digits are 1 to 4, in a 6x6 grid they are 1 to 6, and in a 9x9 grid they are 1 to 9. Nothing else is needed: no calculation, no reading.
- Do the first grid together, out loud, with a pencil. Say why a digit fits, not only which one.
- Start with a row, a column or a box that has only one empty cell: the missing digit is easy to find.
- Use a pencil with an eraser. Mistakes are part of the game, and children try more when they can undo.
- Move to the next grid size only when the child asks for something harder.
In a LogikLand book, the optional "How to Play" page gives your young readers these rules, so you do not have to write them yourself.

Tips for a kids Sudoku book that parents want to buy
- Start with the smallest grid. A child who completes the first pages alone wants to continue, and a book that starts too hard is put away.
- Say the age range clearly in the title and on the cover. Parents often look for a book that matches the age of their child.
- Give the grids room. One or two puzzles per page, on an 8.5 x 11 inch page, leaves space for big digits and a pencil that is not very sharp.
- Keep the lines bold and the digits large, so that the grids print clearly. Strong contrast matters more than decoration.
- Keep the solutions. Parents like to check a grid when a child is stuck.
- Think about a series. A book of 4x4 grids, one of 6x6 grids and one of 9x9 grids are easier to explain than a single book that tries to cover every age.
Margin requirements depend on your trim size and page count, so check the official Amazon KDP guidelines and preview your file in the KDP previewer before you publish.

Kids Sudoku book generator: frequently asked questions
How do I create a kids Sudoku book for Amazon KDP with LogikLand?
Open the Kids tab of your LogikLand dashboard and start the Kids Sudoku wizard. Choose the language, the title and the page size (8.5 x 11 or 6 x 9 inches), decide whether to add a How to Play page, then choose a single grid size or several age groups. For each grid size you set the number of puzzles, and you choose whether separator pages mark each level. Then you set the layout, click Generate Book, adjust the result in the visual editor and download a PDF or an editable PPTX file.
Is the kids Sudoku generator free?
The sample generator on this page is free and needs no account. The Kids Sudoku wizard is in the Kids tab of your dashboard once you have an account, and the maximum number of pages per book depends on your plan: see the Pricing page. Commercial rights, which you need to sell your books, come with the PRO and EXPERT plans.
Which grid size should I use for which age?
In the Kids Sudoku wizard, a 4x4 grid is for ages 4-6, a 6x6 grid is for ages 6-8 and a 9x9 grid is for ages 8-10. These are starting points: you can build a book with a single grid size, or a book that starts with 4x4 grids and moves up to 6x6 and 9x9.
Can I put several grid sizes in the same book?
Yes. In multi-age mode you choose how many puzzles you want for each grid size, 4x4, 6x6 and 9x9. You can mark each level with a separator page, so that the book gets harder as the child goes through it.
Does every puzzle have a unique solution?
Yes. Each Sudoku grid is checked so that it has exactly one solution. We still recommend that you review your book before you publish it.
Are the solutions included?
Yes. The wizard creates solution pages for the puzzles of your book, so that parents and teachers can check a grid when a child is stuck.
Can I sell the kids Sudoku books I create?
Yes, with a PRO or EXPERT plan, which include commercial rights: you can publish and sell your books on Amazon KDP, Etsy or your own website. The free samples on this page, and anything created on the FREE plan, are for personal use.
Which formats and page sizes can I export?
You can export a PDF or an editable PPTX file, in 8.5 x 11 inch or 6 x 9 inch page sizes. Amazon KDP margin and bleed requirements depend on your trim size and page count, so check the official KDP guidelines and preview your file in the KDP previewer before you publish.
