Sudoku

In a classic Sudoku, you fill the grid so that every row, column and box holds each digit exactly once. You need no math at all, only logic, which makes it one of the easiest puzzles to learn and one of the hardest to tire of.

New to Sudoku? Start with an easy level, and move up when the first moves begin to feel obvious. Each variant keeps the same basic idea and adds a rule of its own, so what you learn on a classic grid still helps.

Word puzzles

Word puzzles suit every age, because the level depends mostly on the words and on how much help the page gives. The tools at the top of this section use the words or the message you type, which is handy for a lesson, a party or a family theme.

The other tools choose the content for you, so you can simply pick a level, print the page and start solving.

Mazes

A maze is the simplest puzzle to explain: find the way from the start to the finish. It needs no reading and no numbers, so it works for young children as well as for adults who want a large, detailed path to follow.

The bigger the maze, the longer the route, so choose the size that suits the solver.

Kids worksheets

Create a worksheet for home or for the classroom, one page at a time. Choose the exercise and, when the tool offers it, the age of the child, then print the page.

These pages practice useful skills such as counting, reading, writing and paying attention to detail, so they are a simple way to add a short activity to the day.

Ready-to-print puzzles

No settings here: these puzzles are already made. Open the page, download the PDF you want and print it. Each collection has 6 puzzles, each with its solution.

Tools for KDP authors

If you publish paperback books on Amazon KDP, these tools help with the cover: its exact size first, then its design, then images of the finished book for your listing or your social media.

Frequently asked questions

Are these puzzle generators really free?

Yes. The puzzle generators, the kids worksheets and the ready-to-print puzzles are free and need no account. The KDP Cover Calculator is free too. The KDP Cover Creator and Mockup Generator have a daily limit on downloads.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The tools work in your web browser, and you download the result, usually as a PDF, to print at home.

Which puzzle should a beginner start with?

A word search or a maze is the easiest place to start, because the goal is clear right away. For a first logic puzzle, try an easy Sudoku: the rules take a few seconds to learn and the first level gives you plenty of help.

Do the puzzles come with solutions?

Most puzzle tools add the solution on a separate page of the PDF, so you can hand out the puzzle alone. Pages with nothing to find, such as plain coloring pages and games for two players, have no solution.

Can I choose the difficulty?

Yes, on most tools. Depending on the puzzle, the level changes the size of the grid, the number of clues or the length of the words. Each tool page explains what its levels mean. Worksheets are usually set by the age of the child instead.

Can I use my own words?

Yes, with the Word Search, Hidden Message Word Search, Crossword and Cryptogram tools, where you type your own text. The other word puzzle tools choose their content for you.

Are there puzzles for kids and seniors?

Yes. Kids Sudoku, Kids Maze and the kids worksheets are made for children. For seniors, the Large Print Crosswords have big squares and clues in 16 to 18 point type, and the Large Print Sudoku tool fills each page with one 9 x 9 grid and bigger digits.

Can I sell the puzzles I make here?

No. The free puzzles and worksheets are for personal use. To publish and sell puzzle books, you need a LogikLand account with a PRO or EXPERT plan, which include commercial rights.

Can I make a whole book of puzzles?

Not with these free tools, which are made for single pages. With a LogikLand account, you can build a whole book as a PDF or an editable PPTX file. See the guides and the pricing page to learn more.
