How to Create a Calcudoku Book for Amazon KDP
Calcudoku is a math grid puzzle: each row and column holds each digit once, and bold cages give the result of an operation. Generate a Calcudoku book with 4 levels, from 4 x 4 to 7 x 7.
Before you start
The Calcudoku wizard is available on every LogikLand plan, including the FREE plan, from the dashboard. Commercial rights, which you need to sell your books on Amazon KDP, come with the PRO and EXPERT plans.
The levels add operations step by step: addition and multiplication first, then subtraction, then division.
How to play Calcudoku
- Fill the grid so that every row and every column contains each digit exactly once: 1 to 4 in a 4 x 4 grid, 1 to 5 in a 5 x 5 grid, and so on.
- The grid is divided into cages outlined in bold. The number in the corner of a cage is the result of the operation shown (+, -, ×, ÷) applied to its digits. For - and ÷, start with the larger digit. A cage with a single number gives its digit.
- A digit may repeat inside a cage, as long as it is not twice in the same row or column. Every grid has a single solution.
These rules are printed at the start of your book when you add the “How to play” page.

- A book that goes from Easy to Expert lets solvers learn each new operation one at a time.
- Keep the detailed “How to play” guide: it explains the order of the digits for - and ÷.
- A Large Print Calcudoku wizard is in the Seniors tab of the dashboard: one large grid per page by default, big print and large print instructions.
Margins and Amazon KDP requirements
Amazon KDP margin requirements depend on your trim size and your page count: the inside margin must be larger for thicker books. Check the official KDP margin guidelines, preview your file in the KDP previewer, and increase the margins in the Layout step if needed.
