How to Create a Word Scramble Book for Amazon KDP

The Word Scramble wizard is available on every LogikLand plan, including the FREE plan, from the dashboard. Commercial rights, which you need to sell your books on Amazon KDP, come with the PRO and EXPERT plans.

Answers are written on lines next to each word, one letter per line. In the easier levels, the first letter of the answer is already written.

• The letters of each word have been mixed up. Put them back in the right order to find the word.
• Write your answer on the lines to the right, one letter per line. Use every letter exactly once.
• In the easier puzzles, the first letter of the answer is already written for you.

These rules are printed at the start of your book when you add the “How to play” page.

   Book settings

   Choose the language of your book (English, French, Spanish, German or Italian), enter its title, select the page size (8.5 x 11 inches or 6 x 9 inches), and choose the “How to play” pages: a detailed guide with examples, a short text page, or none.

   Puzzles

   Choose one level or several levels, the number of puzzles and 8, 10 or 12 words per puzzle. Pick the word list: a large list of common words (many different words) or our selection by theme (words checked one by one, good for children). You can also add your own words, 3 to 12 letters, one per line.

   Layout

   Choose the title of each puzzle (name, level and number, or the number only). One puzzle per page. Solutions: 1, 2, 3 or 4 per page. Then set the top, bottom, left and right margins, from 0.25 to 2 inches. A page counter shows the estimated length of your book compared with the page limit of your plan.

   Generate, edit and export

   Click Generate Book. Your project opens in the visual editor, where you can change texts, fonts and positions, save your work, and download the book as a PDF or an editable PPTX file.

• For a children’s book, use our selection by theme and the Easy and Medium levels, where the first letter is given.
• The large list of common words gives more variety from one book to the next; it is sorted automatically and may contain a few names or unusual words, so review the book before publishing.
• Your own words are placed in the level that matches their length: a good way to make a book on one topic.
• A Large Print Word Scramble wizard is in the Seniors tab of the dashboard: one large grid per page by default, big print and large print instructions.

Amazon KDP margin requirements depend on your trim size and your page count: the inside margin must be larger for thicker books. Check the official KDP margin guidelines, preview your file in the KDP previewer, and increase the margins in the Layout step if needed.
