How to Create a Jigsaw Sudoku Book for Amazon KDP
In Jigsaw Sudoku, the nine square boxes become nine regions of irregular shape. Generate a Jigsaw Sudoku book with 4 levels, new region shapes on every grid and the solutions at the end.
Before you start
The Jigsaw Sudoku wizard is available on every LogikLand plan, including the FREE plan, from the dashboard. Commercial rights, which you need to sell your books on Amazon KDP, come with the PRO and EXPERT plans.
Each region has nine squares and is outlined with a thick line, so the regions stay easy to see when the book is printed in black and white.
How to play Jigsaw Sudoku
- In a Jigsaw Sudoku, the nine square boxes are replaced by nine regions of irregular shape. Each region has nine squares and is outlined with a thick line.
- Fill the grid so that every row, every column and every region contains the digits 1 to 9 exactly once.
- Every grid has a single solution.
These rules are printed at the start of your book when you add the “How to play” page.

Tips for a Jigsaw Sudoku puzzle book
- Prefer 1 or 2 grids per page: thick region borders read better on a larger grid.
- Easy grids give 38 digits and Medium grids 30: a good start for solvers who have never played with irregular regions.
- Add the detailed “How to play” guide so that the region rule is explained with examples.
- A Large Print Jigsaw Sudoku wizard is in the Seniors tab of the dashboard: one large grid per page by default, big print and large print instructions.
Margins and Amazon KDP requirements
Amazon KDP margin requirements depend on your trim size and your page count: the inside margin must be larger for thicker books. Check the official KDP margin guidelines, preview your file in the KDP previewer, and increase the margins in the Layout step if needed.
