How to Create a Mine Finder Puzzle Book for Amazon KDP
Mine Finder brings the logic of the mine-sweeping game to paper: each number tells how many mines touch its square. Generate a Mine Finder book with 4 levels, from 8 x 8 to 14 x 14.
Before you start
The Mine Finder wizard is available on every LogikLand plan, including the FREE plan, from the dashboard. Commercial rights, which you need to sell your books on Amazon KDP, come with the PRO and EXPERT plans.
Every grid is solved by logic, without guessing, and the total number of mines is printed under the grid.
How to play Mine Finder
- Mines are hidden in the grid. Find all of them.
- Each number tells how many mines touch its square, diagonals included (up to 8). A square with a number never holds a mine.
- The total number of mines is shown under the grid. Every grid has a single solution, found by logic without guessing.
These rules are printed at the start of your book when you add the “How to play” page.

- The detailed guide explains that diagonals count: it is the point that surprises new solvers.
- Pair a Mine Finder book with Sea Battle or Nonogram books for a series of grid logic puzzles.
Margins and Amazon KDP requirements
Amazon KDP margin requirements depend on your trim size and your page count: the inside margin must be larger for thicker books. Check the official KDP margin guidelines, preview your file in the KDP previewer, and increase the margins in the Layout step if needed.
