How to Create a Doodle Patterns Coloring Book for Amazon KDP

Generate a coloring book of doodle patterns for adults. The whole page is cut into areas, and each area has its own pattern: waves, scales, bricks, flowers and more.

Before you start

The Doodle Patterns wizard is available on every LogikLand plan, including the FREE plan, from the dashboard. Commercial rights, which you need to sell your books on Amazon KDP, come with the PRO and EXPERT plans.

There are 3 levels of detail: 7 areas with large patterns, 13 areas, or 22 areas with small patterns. A coloring book has no solutions.

How to use this book

  • Each page is cut into areas, and each area has its own pattern: waves, scales, bricks, flowers and more. Color one area at a time.
  • Choose your own colors: there is no right or wrong answer, and no solution at the end of the book.
  • Place a sheet of paper behind the page you are coloring if you use felt-tip pens.

These rules are printed at the start of your book when you add the “How to play” page.

Create your Doodle Patterns book step by step

  1. 1

    Book settings

Choose the language of your book (English, French, Spanish, German or Italian), enter its title, select the page size (8.5 x 11 inches or 6 x 9 inches), and decide whether to add a short “How to solve” page.

  2. 2

    Puzzles

Choose One level for a single difficulty, or Several levels to set a number of grids for each level in the same book.

  3. 3

    Layout

Choose the title of each puzzle (name, level and number, or the number only). One drawing per page, on the whole page. You can leave the back of each page blank, so that felt-tip ink does not spoil the next drawing; the book then has twice as many pages. Then set the top, bottom, left and right margins, from 0.25 to 2 inches. A page counter shows the estimated length of your book compared with the page limit of your plan.

  4. 4

    Generate, edit and export

Click Generate Book. Your project opens in the visual editor, where you can change texts, fonts and positions, save your work, and download the book as a PDF or an editable PPTX file.

Tips for a Doodle Patterns puzzle book

  • Keep the blank backs if your readers use felt-tip pens.
  • Prefer the 8.5 x 11 inch format for the Hard level: the patterns are small.

Margins and Amazon KDP requirements

Amazon KDP margin requirements depend on your trim size and your page count: the inside margin must be larger for thicker books. Check the official KDP margin guidelines, preview your file in the KDP previewer, and increase the margins in the Layout step if needed.
