How to Create a Number Path Book for Amazon KDP
In a Number Path puzzle, the numbers form one continuous path through every square of the grid. Generate a book with 3 levels, from 6 x 6 to 9 x 9, and the solutions at the end.
Before you start
The Number Path wizard is available on every LogikLand plan, including the FREE plan, from the dashboard. Commercial rights, which you need to sell your books on Amazon KDP, come with the PRO and EXPERT plans.
The puzzle needs no arithmetic, only counting and looking for the next square. The Hard level adds diagonal moves.
How to play Number Path
- Write the missing numbers so that they form one continuous path from 1 to the largest number. Every square is used exactly once. The first and last numbers are circled.
- Each number must touch the next one. In Easy and Medium grids, the path moves only horizontally or vertically. In Hard grids, it can also move diagonally.
- The small star under each grid shows the moves allowed: 4 branches means no diagonals, 8 branches means diagonals are allowed. Every grid has a single solution.
These rules are printed at the start of your book when you add the “How to play” page.

Tips for a Number Path puzzle book
- Start the book with Easy grids: half of the numbers are given and the path never moves diagonally.
- Keep the Hard grids for the end: with diagonal moves, each square has up to 8 neighbours instead of 4.
- A small star under each grid shows the moves allowed, so the reader always knows if diagonals are permitted.
Margins and Amazon KDP requirements
Amazon KDP margin requirements depend on your trim size and your page count: the inside margin must be larger for thicker books. Check the official KDP margin guidelines, preview your file in the KDP previewer, and increase the margins in the Layout step if needed.
