How to Create a Word Fit Book for Amazon KDP

The Word Fit wizard is available on every LogikLand plan, including the FREE plan, from the dashboard. Commercial rights, which you need to sell your books on Amazon KDP, come with the PRO and EXPERT plans.

One word is already written in each grid to start. A solver checks each grid: one way to place all the words remains.

• There are no clues: the list under the grid gives every word to place, sorted by length.
• Write each word in the grid, across or down. Each word is used once. One word is already written to help you start.
• Words share letters where they cross. Every grid has a single solution.

These rules are printed at the start of your book when you add the “How to play” page.

   Book settings

   Choose the language of your book (English, French, Spanish, German or Italian), enter its title, select the page size (8.5 x 11 inches or 6 x 9 inches), and decide whether to add a short “How to solve” page.

   Puzzles

   Choose One level for a single difficulty, or Several levels to set a number of grids for each level in the same book.

   Layout

   Choose the title of each puzzle (name, level and number, or the number only). Grids: 1 per page, with the word list under the grid. Solutions: 1, 2, 4 or 6 per page (1, 2 or 4 in the Large Print edition). Then set the top, bottom, left and right margins, from 0.25 to 2 inches. A page counter shows the estimated length of your book compared with the page limit of your plan.

   Generate, edit and export

   Click Generate Book. Your project opens in the visual editor, where you can change texts, fonts and positions, save your work, and download the book as a PDF or an editable PPTX file.

• Start the book with Easy grids: about 13 common words.
• Choose a clear page size: the Hard level has about 38 words to list.
• Add the "How to play" page: the first placed word shows readers how to begin.

Amazon KDP margin requirements depend on your trim size and your page count: the inside margin must be larger for thicker books. Check the official KDP margin guidelines, preview your file in the KDP previewer, and increase the margins in the Layout step if needed.
