How to Create a Hexagon Maze Book for Amazon KDP
In a hexagon maze, each cell has 6 sides instead of 4. Readers go from the top arrow to the bottom arrow.
Before you start
The Hexagon Maze wizard is available on every LogikLand plan, including the FREE plan, from the dashboard. Commercial rights, which you need to sell your books on Amazon KDP, come with the PRO and EXPERT plans.
Each maze has no loops, so only one path goes from the entrance to the exit. There are 3 levels: 8 x 10, 13 x 17 or 19 x 25 cells.
How to play
- Enter at the top arrow and find your way to the bottom arrow.
- Each cell has 6 sides: you can go in 6 directions, but not through the walls.
- There is only one path from the entrance to the exit.
These rules are printed at the start of your book when you add the “How to play” page.

Margins and Amazon KDP requirements
Amazon KDP margin requirements depend on your trim size and your page count: the inside margin must be larger for thicker books. Check the official KDP margin guidelines, preview your file in the KDP previewer, and increase the margins in the Layout step if needed.
Frequently asked questions
Are the mazes different from square mazes?
Yes. With 6 directions per cell, the corridors do not look or feel the same.
